From Sunday through today (Tuesday), Seven Seas released a series of cryptic anagrams and hints via Twitter that, when deciphered, revealed the titles of the company’s newest manga licenses.
Twitter followers and anime fans were quick to decode the clues, and word quickly spread about the leaked titles, which Seven Seas confirmed today.
The new titles are: Amnesia Labyrinth (volume 1 coming February 2011); ToraDora! (volume 1 coming March 2011): and A Certain Scientific Railgun (volume 1 coming June 2011).
Subsequent volumes in each series will follow every three to four months.
So why the decision to announce these titles via Twitter and in the form of anagrams, no less?
“If I had to write another boring press release, I would’ve stabbed myself with a fork,” said Senior Editor Adam Arnold. “But seriously, we wanted to have a little fun and figured this would be a unique way to announce these new manga series.”
