Title: Real/Fake Princess Volume 4
Author: I-Huan
Publisher: Dr Master
Price: $9.95

Zhi Li has finally been officially recognized as a Song Princess, but she has a lot of trouble adjusting to her new palace life. No one likes her, the emperor refuses to see her, all the servants talk about her behind her back, and above all, she misses Lu Wu and Hui Tang. She finally decides to sneak out of the palace and return to her ordinary life.

Hui Tang, however, believes that Zhi Li should return to the palace, so he asks Lu Wu to bring her back. Once Zhi Li returns to the castle, more drama awaits her. She finds out that the emperor hates her because she may not really be his sister. Zhi Li's mother, a favored concubine of the late emperor, had fallen in love with the late emperor's duke. When the late emperor found out, he suspected that Zhi Li may not be his daughter. To prevent rumors from spreading, the late emperor had ordered Madame Jia Hua to kill Zhi Li.

In order to cover up the rumors that are returning, the emperor decides to declare Zhi Li as a fake princess and execute her. Zhi Li has no choice this time but to truly flee from the palace.

In terms of Dr Master's adaptation, I think it's excellently done. The translation and English adaptation makes the text read very smoothly. The printing is of a high enough quality that I-Huan's beautiful and delicate art work is clearly revealed. One interesting bit about the volume: Dr Master has added a couple extra pages at the back - the correction to volume two that I pointed out, including the page where all the bubbles are emptied and not typesetted. I've been wondering what it said in volume two for the longest time; I guess that my curiosity has finally been satisfied.

With all the drama in this volume, I do find this volume progressively more interesting, as Hui Tang leaves for the capital and, coincidentally, becomes the rebels' doctor, although they are the enemies of Lu Wu. I can foresee the next volume being more political and dramatic, as Zhi Li is torn deciding between her friends the rebels, or Lu Wu, the Song Warrior and her love.
